Learning & Growing

At Wockhardt, personal growth is encouraged and supported in every area. When the employee grows, so does the organisation. That’s why our training and development programmes are geared towards enhancing the competencies and skills of each employee.

Our WHEEL of Excellence
Wockhardt recognises 11 key areas of personal development, each with its own sets of skills and capabilities, which form the critical spokes of our WHEEL, an acronym for Wockhardt Holistic Excellence Enhancement Lever.

The areas in which we develop our employee asset are:
Domain knowledge
System orientation
Drive for achievement
Interpersonal and team-working skills
Communication skills
Leadership skills
Creativity and innovation
Negotiation and influencing skills
Customer orientation
Entrepreneurship and business acumen
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Giving the sales team a competitive edge
Wockhardt has an innovative distance learning programme called ‘The Edge’. This sales competency-building initiative is in association with the London College of Management. The course enables a field manager or executive to attain a two-year degree in sales management from the prestigious college, while working at Wockhardt.

Our leadership building pipeline
With a view to creating leaders from within, Wockhardt conducts a special 'fast track' programme called 'ACE' (Aim for Competitive Excellence). The targeted growth areas are management skills, leadership skills, presentation skills and creativity. These objectives are pursued by assigning candidates to specially challenging projects, special courses at Wockhardt's Development Centre, managerial exchange programmes, and continuous feedback and evaluation.

Wockhardt's technical development programme
As a knowledge-based organisation active in today's promising and fast-developing technology domains, Wockhardt sets a high premium on its human technological capital and its development. The Technical Development Programme aims to inculcate a holistic and global perspective, and a multi-faceted operational edge through expertise in identified knowledge areas.
